Why is it so hard for people to believe that a loving God would allow people to go to hell??

Think about it…God sent His PERFECT son, whom he loved more than anything, to suffer and die a cruel death, so that we could have a home in heaven.

Why is it so hard to believe that he would allow people who are NOT PERFECT to go to hell for denying Him and not accepting the PERFECT Son He sent here to die for them??

My pastor made mention of this while preaching yesterday and it makes a lot of sense when you think about it!!!

So, as many of you know, I have been kind of out of commission for about a month now. It does not agree with me, I can tell you that. Yes, I am “one of those” people. I do not like to be waited on and have things done for me, well sometimes I do, but not ALL.THE.TIME!!!!

So, even though I had a headache all day yesterday, I thought I would see if I could make dinner without burning down the house or collapsing in the kitchen.

So, I went to one of my favorite recipe websites and found a recipe that I had all the ingredients for and made dinner for my family ALL.BY.MYSELF!!!! Yes, I know you are all impressed (NOT)

So here is what I made for my family. It’s super easy and super yummy!!! I altered the original recipe to what we like. Here is the original recipe.

Here is mine…

Crispy Oven Fried Chicken

3/4 c. dry potato flakes
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 t. garlic salt
8 chicken tenders (seasoned with salt and pepper)
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
parsley ( to taste)
thyme (to taste)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheet or 9×13 baking dish with foil. Combine potato flakes, parmesan cheese and garlic salt in med. bowl til well mixed. In another bowl, melt butter and allow to cool just a bit and then add one egg and mix well. Dip chicken tenders into melted butter and egg; roll in potato flake mixture to coat well. Place on/in pan. Bake 30-40 minutes or until chicken is tender and golden brown.

I served California Blend veggies with my chicken and everyone enjoyed. In fact, Buster said he wants me to make it again, Pumpkin Seed, too!!!!

I watched a 20/20 special last night on TV and I have to say, I was a little, OK, a lot, disturbed by what I saw/heard.

It was about “IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist) Cult Survivors”. And it was all about people (mostly girls, from what I saw) that have suffered sexual/physical/spiritual abuse at the hands of either parents who are IFB or IFB Pastors/Deacons/members.

As I sat there and listened to these women talk about their abuse, I wondered each time, what does this have to do with Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches?? I mean, as a whole.

How many IFB Churches are there in this country and how many have had things like this happen in them? Now take the number of Methodist “Churches” out there. How many of those have had things like this happen in them? Catholic “Churches”? Lutheran “Churches”? Bible “Churches”? I could go on and on…I doubt that IFB Churches corner the market on sexual predators, or physically abusive parents for that matter!!

I have a hard time with people who want to lump all of one type of anything together, let alone INDEPENDENT Churches. Independent Fundamental Churches are just what they say they are.

**Independent, meaning they are self governing, not associated or linked with any other, not part of any “conference” and not accountable to anyone but GOD. This gives them the freedom to preach and teach whatever the Pastor gets from God. They are funded by what their people give.

**Fundamental, a my understanding is, simply means they preach and teach principles and doctrine of the Word of God from THE WORD OF GOD. They believe that the King James Bible is THE preserved Word of God, written by man, but God inspired.

**Baptist, now that’s a little harder to put into words. I believe this pertains to specific doctrinal beliefs that set the IFB’s apart from other “denomonations”. Baptism being one, if not the most important, but also including dress, dating, separation and other standards.

I heard someone say on this 20/20 program that IFB’s think their standards make them superior to others. I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I do not think myself superior to ANYONE. I do have standards, probably higher than some, but most definitely lower than most (IFB’s). I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist, but I am not better than anyone else. I struggle with sin everyday, just like everyone else. I am a sinner saved by grace.

Then there was the whole women shouldn’t be have to be subordinate and spanking=beating and all that…I believe this is the reason the world is the way it is today…people have gotten so far from God’s orginal plan that no one knows whats right anymore, or we just don’t care…

September 1, of this last year, Buster and I started a “diet”. Only, it really isn’t a diet. It is a lifestyle change. We decided to cut out all refined sugar, wheat of any kind, fatty meats and cheese, and basically anything processed. The more processed a food is, the easier it is to digest, which means less work for your body and the easier it is to absorb fat and calories you don’t need for your body to function, so it gets stored as fat.

Then Thanksgiving came and Christmas and we kind of got a little slack about what we were eating and we have yet to get back “on the wagon”…

One of the things we can enjoy while not on our “diet” is sausage muffins with egg and cheese. Man, are they good!!

One of the hardest parts of making them is the eggs, though! I could never get the eggs nice and round like the restaurants do, and it made me kinda mad!!

That’s when one of these comes in handy!!

Thanks to the people at CSNStores, I got a couple to try out, keep and review for them. They work really well!! The eggs stay inside the ring and cook fully through when you use med heat and allow them to cook long enough. Once almost done, you can actually remove the ring and flip the egg over if you want…

ok, this blog is beginning to irritate me…

wanted to let everyone know what’s going on with me, so let’s try this again, shall we??

end of last week, i started waking up with a lot of joint pain, i mean A LOT!!

then i got this pain and swelling in my neck and developed a fever (101)…which are both side effects of the meds (as is the joint pain) they gave me to try to stop the passing out episodes i have been having.

so monday when i was getting worse instead of better, i called my dr office. of course, MY doctor is gone all week, so i had to talk to the “other” doctor.

so, she thinks i more than likely have an infection of some sort (thus the fever and swelling in the neck) so she says go off the tegretol and go on antibiotics…

she says she doesn’t think the swelling and that is because of the tegretol, but yet she wants me to not take it anymore???

sometimes i wonder about doctors, lol….but i am starting to feel better, so i am not going to complain!!! fever comes back when i don’t take telynol or motrin, but i think that’s getting better, all of the joint pain is gone and the swelling and soreness in my neck is gradually getting better…

EEG monday… then neuro appt. may 5th!!!

My youngest sister suffers from both of these “illnesses”. They can be scary sometimes. Asthma for obvious reasons, not being able to be breathe and all. Allergies can also be dangerous if not taken care of.

Grandma G. was concerned when they moved into their new house because of the possible dampness in the basement. Dampness encourages the growth of mold and mildew, which she is allergic to. Severely allergic…

While they have a standard “space” dehumidifier, they could also look into a whole house dehumidifier. Santa Fe dehumidifier makes larger models that will keep whole houses or buildings free from moisture. I don’t know that Grandma G. would need something like this, but t’s good to know all your options!!

What is wrong with WordPress today?? I can’t make corrections without deleting everything already written, I can’t highlight anything, I can’t center anything….AAAAHHHH!!!! I have to write everything in the html tab….

HELP!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I am super happy and so content with what God has given me since we have been here at Fort Faith. But if I’m totally honest, I would at some point like to do some updating here at the house!!

Nothing obnoxious, but maybe a modern sofa set. You know, a couch and loveseat ensemble with a recliner that all match. I would LOVE to paint one wall in here (at least) a dark deep red and decorate from there…

Right now we have an older couch and loveseat that match and a recliner that is neutral so it matches, but it is broken and Buster keeps having to beat it with a hammer to get it to work right!!

A girl can dream, right??

When we moved into our house in town, the garage needed a garage door opener.  I just assumed if it had a door, it would have an opener…duh!!

Well, I guess not!!! I really didn’t realize there were that many garage door openers out there.  There are chain driven and not chain driven.  HA! See how much I know about it??  I know you are impressed at my plethura of  knowledge!!!

My husband was like, “Yeah this kind works better than that kind”, blah blah bah, like I know what he’s talking about or care!!  I just wanna be able to get into my garage!!!

Okay, EEG is scheduled for April 11th, and I see the Neurologist on May 5th.

  The peeps who do the EEG are supposed to send the results directly to the Neurologist that I’m seeing May 5th…we shall see what happens…

For many of us our month lasts much longer than our money does.  When you are on a “fixed” income, as I am, your month lasts much much longer!! LOL (yes, two much-es is a LOT longer, hahaha)

Anyway, some people have said of cash advance online, that they would not have been able to buy much needed medications if not for them.  Others have been able to buy books for classes that they otherwise would not have been able to.

I think my problem with these types of things is the fees you acquire aong with the money they give you…but if you HAVE to have money and can’t wait, maybe they are worth it???

Some people want to make you think that a “magic pill” will solve all your problems and that you won’t have to work hard to get what you want. But, it has been my experience that hard work is THE ONLY WAY to get what you want.

That’s precisely why I would ignore things like apidextra reviews, and get off my lazy duff and exercise along with eating right to lose weight, but hey, do what ya want, what am I, your mother???
