I was have been looking all over for ideas for an April Flavor Of The Month for the cupcake biz and I have seen all kinds of Easter Gift Baskets and cute cupcakes, but nothing really jumped out at me til a few days ago. But when I saw them, I knew I had to make them!!

I’m excited about the project and I hope someone orders them!!  They are going to take a little more work than our average cupcake, but i think they’ll be worth it and they are adorable!! =)

On the other hand, sometimes you don’t want to buy cheaper jewelry.  My husband bought me one of those pretty mother rings from a local retail store and the stones kept falling out.  We kept taking it back and they kept replacing them.  They didn’t give us any problems about replacing them, but finally I just returned it and got my money back.  But for the record, The ring wasn’t that cheap! We spent the same amount you would anywhere else you would buy the same ring! (Okay, maybe not quite as much, but still)…

The point is, some things (flour, sugar, butter, some soups, some jewelry, some pasta, napkins,  etc,) you can buy random inexpensive brands or whatever happens to be on sale at the store when you are there. Other things (chocolate, cream soups, certain pastas, eggs, lunch meats, etc) you have certain brands that you buy because they are known to produce a good quality product!

It’s all about “The Plan Of Salvation”.  What? You don’t know that is? Well, I will tell you!

We all are born and we all die right?  Easy question….

Most of us wonder what is going to happen to us when we die, right?  Another easy question…

Well, the answer to that question is this, we either go to heaven or hell…those are the options, according to the bible.

Heaven = pleasant, happy, fun, blessings, family, food, sunshine, Jesus, God

Hell= unpleasant, sad, no blessings, loneliness, deprivation, satan, evil

Both are for ETERNITY one you are there folks, there are no second chances, once you die, the choice has been made, there is no going back…

This is the thing.  You must know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior in order to go to heaven! Plain and simple.

You have to realize you are a sinner (we all are Romans 3:10)…

You have to realize that there is a penalty for that sin (sin always has consequences Romans 6:23)…

You have to accept that Jesus paid that penalty for you (when He died on the cross Romans 5:8-9)…

You have to realize that He is your only way to heaven (you can’t do anything to get yourself there Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-11 )…

It’s as simple as that.

Most people say a simple prayer, something like: “Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner.  Please forgive of my sins and save me from hell. Take me to heaven some day when I die.  Thank You Jesus for what you have done for me. Amen.”  Or something along those lines.

The important thing isn’t “what” you say, it’s that you mean it and believe it in your heart, because “saying” a prayer isn’t going to get you to heaven!! You must believe!!!

That, my friends is “The Plan Of Salvation”

I came across some pretty sweet  michael kors watches I wouldn’t mind tucking away in my jewelry box.  Although some of them are pretty expensive, they look like they are pretty well made and they do have a free shipping offer!!  Might make a nice gift for that special someone in your life??

I like to peruse this one site where you find different kinds of gifts.  Everything from personal retirement gift ideas to baby gifts.  They have shirts, mugs, golf balls, a little of this and a  little of that, it’s great.

Hey! Maybe I’ll find something for the boy for his birthday there!!  

But, since I know pretty much nothing about either of those, I am like a fish out of water when it comes to finding the right thing for him.  Get it, fish out of water, and I was talking about fishing…..okay, so it wasn’t that funny.

But for real peeps, anyone know what I should get the boy for his birthday? Come on, it’s only a few months away.  I need some really good ideas!!

I know it’s early, but when you are on a tight budget you have to spread your spending out as much as you can!  And believe you me, we are on a TIGHT budget!!

So, I am already checking into getting something like invitationbox.com christmas photo cards to send out instead of regular Christmas cards.  A nice family photo is a nice gift for family you don’t often gt to see because of busy schedules!!  A little family letter giving the highlights of your year and a nice photo is just the thing to give your loved ones, I think…

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation.  Bow your head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul.

Saying a prayer does not save you!!  You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

How many of you prefer flowers for mothers day? 

Would you rather get a box of chocolates or flowers?

Would you rather get a piece of jewelry or flowers?

Would you rather get a gift card to your favorite store or flowers?

I love to get flowers, but they die…I can think of a bunch of other things I would rather get for Mother’s Day or any other occasion for that matter…

Here are a few (in case my hubby reads this)…

• a pendant for my white gold chain
• a mother’s ring
• a gift card to Fashion Bug or Marshall’s to pick out shoes or a handbag or something
• a nice dinner out with my family
• smaller diamond earrings for my second hole

Don’t get me wrong, I do like getting flowers, but I would rather get like maybe a small bouquet or a single flower and then something else, too!!!

By anything, I mean anything.  They have everything from pocket knives to leather beer holsters.  You could find the perfect gift!!!

And yes, I am for real, people!!  They make leather beer holsters!!!  Does that seem strange to anyone else, or just me???
