Home Entertainment…
- by Jo
Buster and I have a lot, I mean a LOT of game consoles. We have just about everything from Atari to the Wii. But one we do not have is the ps3. We have the first two, but not the last one. We also do not have Xbox or Xbox 360. Are we missing out?? Do we need to get one of these or both?? I have heard great things about the 360, but not sure if they have any games I would be interested in. I know they have down in price a lot, so maybe now is the time to look into getting one…

Home Entertainment!!

Friends of ours recently bought a 52″ wide screen TV. Then the guy built a huge arm for the thing out of metal, to hang it from. Then he rigged it up so you can either watch it in the living room or swing it around and watch it in the “addition” which is an office, work out room, pool (one of those small lap pools), etc. Then he has some HUGE speakers hooked up to it so you get the home theater effect when you watch a movie. It’s nice!!

Party Party!! :)

Classic problem here…..I never know how many party invitations to send out. Is it twice as many as you expect will actually show?? Wait, I think it’s twice as many as you have food for cause only about half will show, is that right?? LOL I can never remember for sure. Buster and I are thinking about renewing our vows and there will HAVE to be a party (reception) after the ceremony!!

Family Fun…

If you are planning a family vacation this winter break, you should look at going to one of the disney world resorts. Sometimes you can find all inclusive packages that cover everything but airfare or travel expenses. But sometimes even that! Disney has always been a great place to visit especially if you have kids. There is so much to do, you will want o go again and again!!

TeeHee. Was looking into mexico vacation deals recently because I hear it’s amazing there. I have never been out of the country and I think it would be fun to go somewhere that has a different culture than we do here int he US. I hear the food is good and they have lots of exciting things to do there. Have any of you been there?? Is it all they say it is??

Vacation????
- by Jo
I hope we sell our house soon. Buster says that when we sell it, we might take a vacation. He’s talking about one of those orlando vacations. We have some friends who live in Florida, minutes from Disney, actually. So we might be taking a Disney trip in the near future…hopefully while it’s still cold here!!! That would be fun!! Pumpkin_seed and I have never flown, so it should be interesting ( maybe we will drive) ![]()

Family Projects…

Every year pumpkin_seed has to do a Science Fair project and we go out and buy a cardboard display of some sort. One year she and her dad made one with a little “house” with furniture and lights and the whole nine yards and the science part was how the light switch worked. It was very cool. She loves spending time with her dad working on ANYTHING!!! I hope her new school does the same thing!!

So I was thinking…

…I know, I know, it’s a dangerous thing, for me.
Buster and I cannot take the mini vacay we were talking about taking this fall now that pumpkin_seed has started school, but I’m thinking Spring Vacation is looking good for one. But, I wonder….Can I get better travel deals if I go through a travel agency as opposed to “looking for deals” myself??? I mean, that is their job, after all. to get me the best deal on the best vacation, right?? They know all the ins-and-outs and such. Ah…the possibilities….
vacation…

Buster and I are in the market for a mini vacay possibly this fall, maybe next spring. I have been checking out some vacation spots that are not local, but not too far away. I wasn’t aware that you could stay ANYWHERE for $39 /night until I looked at some Branson vacations the other day. They have packages that are as low as $99 including motel/hotel and entertainment!! Stuff for kids and adults!! Looks like I need to do some more investigating!!
kids…

remember back in the day when all the neighborhood families had swing sets in their backyards and they were stacked with kids. why don’t we see that anymore…oh wait, i know why. because today’s kids are lazy!! the majority of them that is. i know a boy who is 14 years old and weighs 320 pounds because all he does is sit in his room and play video games all day everyday!! unless we want our children to be obese and have heart attacks at 35, let’s get them outside more playing in the sunshine and fresh air!!!
