Getting the best…

 - by Jo

Buster and I recently had to go to our insurance agent and get some new auto insurance quotes because we sold one of our vehicles and lost our multi-car policy.  We wanted to make sure we couldn’t get a better deal  through another company.  We have our home and truck insured by the same  company because we ended up paying like $10 more but got a life insurance policy on each of us and a little better coverage on our home by switching to another company!! How awesome is that?

Blessings….

7-clown-circus-button1Wordless Wednesday…an Angie Production

Today’s Tribute goes out to the wonderful hair stylist at Walmart (I know, don’t judge me) who did my hair Sunday!!  I LOVE it!!  Hey, we were there, I needed a trim and they are the cheapest around!! Anyway…she was great.  She knew just what I needed for my face shape and my thin hair, the whole nine yards.

This is what I ended up with folks…not too Shabby…..

Tuesday’s Tribute…

Today I pay tribute to Puffs and Kleenex.  They keep me from having a dripping wet nose and also from sneezing all over anyone who comes within 3 feet of me!!  **blows her nose**

Thanks to you for making those pillowy soft nose wipers I have come to depend on these days.   The only problem I have is the red irritation that comes soon after the 100th nose blow of the day!  Let’s see if you all can work on that, shall we??  **blows her nose**

Maybe you guys could just come up with a system that I can just hook up to all day long that will suction out all of the snot for me while I get on with my life.  I’m just sayin’.  **blows her nose**

I am still in a considerable amount of pain since having all four wisdom teeth yanked from my poor unsuspecting skull last Friday.  Two of them were impacted and one had to be removed in pieces…thus the massive swelling and bruising…

dsc014772

This is a picture taken from under my chin, upward, showing the bruise and swelling of my poor cheek on the right side of my face.  It was taken yesterday, a full 4 days AFTER my surgery.  Not sure if this is common to be this sore and swollen this long after, so I  am calling the Dr. today to make sure I am on the mend!!  It is getting smaller and less painful, though!! So I think I am OK, but was hoping for a quicker recovery!!  I am still eating soft foods and it takes forever to eat anything, but hey, maybe I’ll lose a few pounds??  lol

TGIF Random Goodness!!

 - by Jo

#1 I found this awesome template that I LOVE!!!!!!!

#2 We are moving our bedroom to the den and our den to the bedroom (we just realized , after 6 years that the den is actually bigger than the room we have been in, plus the den is in the back of the house, farther from all the noise and it will be more peaceful) I’ll post pictures later..I should have taken before, dang it!!

#3 I am here all by my lonesome for a few hours, Buster took pumpkin_seed hunting again.  They went out almost every night this week. They have seen deer but haven’t gotten anything yet.

#4 Punpkin_seeds team won their volleyball game last night.  WOOHOO!

#5 I have lost about 4 pounds in the last month, not a lot, but it’s a start!! I still weigh too much, though!

#6 It’s not about the weight, so much as getting healthy (yeah, I’ll keep telling myself that;))

#7 Thanksgiving is at MY.HOUSE.

#8  Everyone is bringing at least one dish to pass, it’s easier on me that way ;)

#9  We are having Chili tonight!!! YAY!!

#10  Our Church runs bus routes.  We go into the community and bring people to Church who wouldn’t normally come because they don’t have a way to get there.  We go to about 4 different areas all within about 30 miles of the Church.  Every year for the last 5 or so, we have done a Thanksgiving meal for the bus families and their loved ones.  It is this Sunday so we are excited about that!! We cook stuff for it and help serve!!

Writing Assignment, I remember when..

 - by Jo

I remember when:

You could get a gallon of gas for $0.89 (It was almost $4.00 here just a few weeks ago, now it’s like$1.99 here)

You could let you kids wander around town and not worry that they would be kidnapped or something equally horrifying (I live in a Small.Rural.Town and we just had an attempted abduction a few weeks ago)

You could get a gallon of milk for $1.89 (I just spent $3.29 a gallon)

You could trust Policeman, Pastors and Teachers (now, you don’t know who you can trust and who you can’t)

You could pray in school without being harassed (the school tried telling my son once that he couldn’t pray at lunch time, I went down there and told them He.Would.Be.Praying.If.He.Wanted.To, they never said anything about it to him again)
