And as we all know, it’s all about the brand awareness! Once a brand is out there, goodness! So, get yours out there and make your name known!

It’s crazy up in here.  I have no idea what I’m doing.  Well that’s not exactly true.  I know enough to get on here and write a post and publish it.  I can check my stats. I could probably add a fancy pdf page counter if I really wanted to.  Fun stuff like that, but I have been known to do some crazy stuff like delete the whole blog somehow and then I have to get in through a back door somewhere and reload the whole darn thing!

It scares me cause I really don’t know what I’m doing some times.  I love blogging and I like to think I know what I’m doing, but I guess I really don’t know much.  I have tried to get into all that HTML stuff but, I just don’t get it.  My brain just isn’t wired for it, I’m afraid.

Maybe someday I’ll smarten up?!?

I had a small business a few years back selling make up, too.  I did pretty well, but ended up spending more than I made in the end.  It really wasn’t for me.  I didn’t have the time or money I wanted to spend on the meetings and networking I really needed to make the kind of money I wanted to.

If you are into fixing cars or doing body work, you can even get auto body estimating software for your computer.  That’s helpful, it pretty much does the work for you, taking the guess work out of what to charge your customers.

I am currently trying to start up a cup cake business, with a friend out of my home.  It was a nightmare trying to come up with prices.  We are still trying to adjust them.  Only because some take cake flour, some all-purpose, some gluten-free.  They don’t all cost the same.  Some cup cakes have fruit in them, some have candy or fruit.  Candy isn’t as expensive as fruit (generally).  So, we think we’ll have to change the prices to be for each specific cup cake instead of  blanket pricing.

Anyway, small business is big business right now! we are looking forward to having fun with mine and seeing what we can do! What are you doing in life right now? Got anything new going on? Anything big?

She refuses to e-mail unless she has to.  She hates using the Internet.  She will not make electronic payments because she is convinced that everyone is trying to steal her personal information.  And she thinks any one who likes computers, Internet and blogging (me) is silly.

Me personally, I love the internet, blogging, technology, the nine yards, I think it’s fun and exciting all that we can do today.  We can keep in touch with family and friends that don’t even live in the same state we live in!!  What with the social media and all!!

And all the dust and cob webs.  It’s like it’s drawn to them! Although, I’m pretty sure it really is, something about static electricity and all that jazz look at me all my smarty pants).  Anyways, it was a disaster area back there, but I got it all cleaned up now and it’s looking much better now!  Just thought you’d all like to know that! It’s one thing I hate to do so I don’t do it very often. How often do you dust behind your computer equipment??

I know some people have the mentality that “Hey, I have the money, why not spend it?”  Um, NO!!  That is not me! I am all for saving money anywhere and everywhere I can.

So, when I asked a friend of mine, “where can I find the latest laptops?” He told me about looking on some of the top online  sites.  So, of course, I got right online and looked and sure enough, I found lots of them, and for some pretty good prices.  So, if you are in the market for a laptop, just follow the link!!  I think they probably have what you’re looking for!

With all this computer usage it’s nice to know you can find some help with your paperless “paperwork” with a document management system .  It’s kind of like having a virtual file cabinet. 

It makes life a lot easier and also helps businesses and offices be more compliant with HIPAA laws and all that racket.

Though “refurbished” sounds like “second-hand” or “used”, it’s usually really good to buy, because in order to be labeled as “refurbished”, they have to test it like crazy to make sure it’s in tip-top shape to be able to resell it. That way all the “kinks” are worked out before you buy!!

Then, it turned out I didn’t have to buy one, my dad gave me one!! Thanks again Dad!! You’re the best!!

I know as a Christian woman, I am supposed to “rise above” everyday frustrations and impatient tendencies, but some days I just want to cry and stomp and throw myself on the floor.

Especially when it comes to my computer illiteracy and not understanding how things work. 

The hubster and I bought a domain name for a website for our Church.  Since I own a domain and already have hosting service, we thought we would add the new domain to my hosting service and then only have the one hosting fee, since I can have up to five domains with my server.

It took me a while to remember what I had to do…but thanks to the very kind and very patient folks at Surpass Hosting, I got it figured out.  Now I just have to figure out what to do with the page itself…I’m thinking about setting it up as a blog like this site…not sure yet, though.

Anyway, in the process of all this they changed everything over to another site (for the hosting) and I couldn’t log into my account to pay for my hosting fee, which is due by tomorrow, so I was a little freaked about that.  Normally I pay for it as soon as I get my invoice (about a week before it’s due), but the money I earned from paid posts (that was supposed to be deposited in my pay pal account Friday) didn’t show up in my account til today!!

And another thing, while I’m ranting…why the flip won’t my bookmarks work?? My IE bookmarks won’t bookmark anything!!! GGGRRRR….

OK, I’m done……for now.

Well, my “baby computer” showed up today…a lot of good it does me, the fine people over at the USPS broke it!!!  I mean BROKE IT…the whole screen is just shattered!!!  So, now dad has to make a claim to get his money back for it (thankfully he insured it) and start all over again.  I told him, maybe it’s just not meant to be, but he says I will get my computer one way or another, LOL

It’s so sad, too.  The outside is a pretty blue/green…I really liked it…Oh well….

It has like 250 Gigs of hard drive space and 1 Gig of RAM.  It is WiFi capable and also has a built in Webcam.  It’s going to be a nice little computer that I can blog on and surf the net on.  Should get it today, tomorrow at the latest, can’t wait!! =)

While on the phone with my dad, fixing the problem I was having with my USB ports, the computer decided it was going to flip out and not work.  So I was like what the heck is going on??? I said it out loud and my dad asked me what was going on, so I told him.  He had me take the battery off and see if that helped.  It did for a little bit, then it decided to flip out again and again and then again.

So, my dad said he was going to have to send me another computer.  I told him it was fine, that it works most of the time and he didn’t owe me anything.  He said he wasn’t going to have his daughter using a computer that didn’t work like it was supposed to and that he said he was giving me a computer that worked and that was what i was going to get! 

He said he would do some searching and see what he could find for me.  So,  today I get a call from him saying that not only did he find one and put it in the mail today, but he also b0ught an external dvd drive for it so I can upload/download (whatever you do with them) programs onto my computer, so I don’t have to try and use a thumb drive to do it.

I am so blessed!!  THANK YOU to my earthly father for being such a blessing to me and THANK YOU to my Heavenly Father for His provision and so many blessings, all of which I do not deserve!!
