Wally World…
Posted on July 09, 2011Walmart (I call it Wally World) is one of my favorite places to shop, dare I say it might be my very favorite. Because you can find so many different things under one roof!! And for great prices!!
And now they have made shopping with them even easier with walmart coupons at drop down deals.com. Between Walmart’s low prices and the coupon codes on their site, you can save even more through their special promotions! And their website offers many of the same items you can find in the store.
Their site is easy to use and offers some really substantial savings, head on over and check it out!!!
Asthma and Allergies…
Posted on April 01, 2011My youngest sister suffers from both of these “illnesses”. They can be scary sometimes. Asthma for obvious reasons, not being able to be breathe and all. Allergies can also be dangerous if not taken care of.
Grandma G. was concerned when they moved into their new house because of the possible dampness in the basement. Dampness encourages the growth of mold and mildew, which she is allergic to. Severely allergic…
While they have a standard “space” dehumidifier, they could also look into a whole house dehumidifier. Santa Fe dehumidifier makes larger models that will keep whole houses or buildings free from moisture. I don’t know that Grandma G. would need something like this, but t’s good to know all your options!!
I want a Subway!!
Posted on March 19, 2011Ever thought about owning your own business?? I have…in fact, I started an AVON business a few years ago, it was a flop, but it was fun while it lasted. My problem was, in the end, I was spending more than I was making. That’s a problem, unless you aren’t trying to make money. A friend of mine sells it, so she can save money on the product, it works for her, but I was looking to make money.
I’ve always thought it would be cool to own my own store. One of my husbands cousins owns and operates a Subway in Grand Rapids. I looked into franchise opportunities, but I’m not in the market anymore, since I work here at camp. But maybe someday…

Golf, Anyone?
Posted on March 18, 2011We have a mini golf course at camp that the kids love to play on. We, the adults, like to play it too, if we are honest about it. I like to play but I am absolutely terrible at it!!
My husband, who has a very mathematical brain (he’s good with angles and all that) is way better at it then I am!!
Anyway, I thought it would be cool to put our color logo on golf balls. The camps logo, that is…Wouldn’t that be neat? The kids could even buy them for souvenir’s. Ya know, buy it, play with it, take it home…
It’s a good way to get the camp’s name ”out there”, yes?

Posted on March 11, 2011With the economy the way it is right now, if you don’t have a skill set of any kind, it’s probably really hard to find a job. You add having a family to the mix and it gets even messier. A lot of parents are having a hard time with balancing a job, a home and schooling.
That’s what’s nice about online degree programs. Most of them allow you to work at your own pace and on your own time, meaning you can “go to class” right in your own home, after the kids go to bed for the night, or while they are doing homework, or whenever is convenient for you…
Again, You’re Welcome!!

Beggers Can’t Be Choosers…
Posted on February 16, 2011With the job market the way it is right now, if you are looking for work, I would suggest you take what you can get!!
I hear people complain all the time about their jobs and I just think to myself , “Be thankful you have a job!!” There are so many people out there looking for work that they would take your lousy no-good job in a heartbeat!!
So, think about all those who don’t have jobs and take those offered jobs retail, or otherwise!!
The Age of Technology…
Posted on February 12, 2011More and more utility companies, credit cards…well, let’s face it, EVERYONE is going paperless. You can pay bills online, get paid online, shop online…
With all this computer usage it’s nice to know you can find some help with your paperless “paperwork” with a document management system . It’s kind of like having a virtual file cabinet.
It makes life a lot easier and also helps businesses and offices be more compliant with HIPAA laws and all that racket.
You’re welcome! =)
Refurbished Is Good!! =)
Posted on February 11, 2011Recently I was searching for a laptop or a netbook I can take on the road so I can keep up with my blogging even when I’m not at home. I looked on craigslist and ebay, I even looked at refurbished netbooks.
Though “refurbished” sounds like “second-hand” or “used”, it’s usually really good to buy, because in order to be labeled as “refurbished”, they have to test it like crazy to make sure it’s in tip-top shape to be able to resell it. That way all the “kinks” are worked out before you buy!!
Then, it turned out I didn’t have to buy one, my dad gave me one!! Thanks again Dad!! You’re the best!!

Coming Soon…
Posted on February 09, 2011As you may or may not know, I am a bargain shopper!! I love to get great quality products for a great (low) price. That is just what I have found at CSNStores. Hubby and I are in the market for a flat panel tv stand, CSNStores (with their 200+ online stores) was the first place I looked.
They have great products at great prices. I have reviewedseveral products from them so far, and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I will soon be doing another review for CSNStores, so stay tuned to see what I found!!
Show Me The Money…
Posted on February 01, 2011I would love to be able to add onto the house we live in, but Buster and I don’t have any money saved up and we have a very limited income at the moment. We had talked about (when we are getting enough support to make a monthly payment) taking a home equity loan out on the house we own, but now we don’t think that’s a good idea.
Did you know that with certain types of loans that all it takes is one or two missed payments and they can take your property? That is scary to me!!
IF and when we decide to something, I think we’ll stick to easy personal loans for our monetary needs, if we borrow money at all…
Cyber Monday…Black Friday done BETTER!!! =)
Posted on November 23, 2010How many of you shop on Black Friday? My sister-in-law (bless her heart) shops these sales EVERY YEAR!! I think I have shopped on Black Friday maybe twice. Yes, two times, that’s it!! I do not enjoy being trampled by over-eager shoppers who would sooner kill you than look at you just because you hold the last Tickle Me Elmo in the county. Remember when they were all the rage?? LOL
Not my style, thank you! Now, Cyber Monday is something right up my ally! No lines, no one yelling, I had that first! No one ramming into you with their cart. And yet, you still get great prices and deals. Only instead of being assaulted and accosted, you can shop in the comfort of your very own home! Now that’s what I’m talking about!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! God bless!!

Binoculars….
Posted on October 30, 2010My husband has been saying for a while now that he needs a new pair of binoculars. I have no idea what kind to get him. I guess with this type of item, you get what you pay for. You can get really cheap ones for around $20 or you could spend all the way to around $1,000, maybe even more.
So, I’m thinking $200 binoculars would be better than $20 binoculars…I know they have several brands that claim to be good, but overall, I really don’t know much about them. Anyone have good ideas about this?
