AAGGHHH!!
Posted on October 14, 2011OHMYGOODNESS!! I was dusting today, trying to get my house cleaned up for company coming tomorrow and I couldn’t believe the tangled mess behind the computer desk. It is a good thing I’m married to someone smarter that me cause I can’t tell ya the difference between computer video cables and usb cables and this and that or the next thing. It’s all the same to me I tell ya!
And all the dust and cob webs. It’s like it’s drawn to them! Although, I’m pretty sure it really is, something about static electricity and all that jazz look at me all my smarty pants). Anyways, it was a disaster area back there, but I got it all cleaned up now and it’s looking much better now! Just thought you’d all like to know that! It’s one thing I hate to do so I don’t do it very often. How often do you dust behind your computer equipment??
I anxiously await your response…
Blessings…
Posted on May 19, 2011I do realize that doing dishes isn’t normally considered a blessing, but I also realize that being able to do dishes is…
As most of you know, I have been “under the weather”, so to speak for a couple of months now. It all started with slip and fall in the tub and kinda went south from there, unfortunately.
At one point doctor’s were saying there seemed to be evidence of an old stroke or possibly seizure activity according to some results of a CT scan. Well, that ended up not being the case , Praise The Lord! But they did determine that I have a cyst (app. 1″ x 1″) on my brain. It does not appear to be causing any problems, so they are going to leave it be.
But now we are left to wonder what the problem actually is…
I continue to have major migraines (which isn’t a new thing) and passing out occasionally (which is new since the slip and fall). We are told that IF the passing out is from the concussion I go when I fell, it will stop on it’s own eventually.
If it’s not from that then we will have to figure out what it is from and try to treat it accordingly. The Dr. didn’t really say how long we should wait, so I’m not sure what to do there, but I will be checking with my regular soon to see.
At one point, my regular Dr. was going to have me do a cardiac monitor and I think that’s probably my next step.
So back to my original thoughts…I have been having good days and bad (seems mostly bad lately, unfortunately) and some days it’s a struggle just to be up and out of bed. And, some days I can get simple things done like cleaning toilets, folding laundry and doing dishes. Today started out rough with a migraine, but has gotten better so, as I was washing dishes today, I looked up and saw this out my window…
…and thought “What a blessing to be here and be able to do my dishes today”.
Spring is my favorite time of year, to me, it represents a rebirth of things and a new start…which we can all use now and then…
Cleaning…
Posted on March 10, 2011We all enjoy a clean house, do we not?? I think most of us enjoy a bright fresh kitchen, a sparkling bathroom, and a dust free armoire…
Most of us, I dare say, don’t think about our carpets. Not beyond vacuuming them, anyway…at least I don’t. Unless something gets spilled or ground into it…
The peeps over in NC can look into carpet cleaning raleigh for all their carpet cleaning needs. For all you fabulous people living elsewhere, look up carpet cleaning in your phonebook, you should find some options there…
Your welcome!!
Camp is upon us!!
Posted on June 10, 2010So, it’s that time of year again. Camp season. Our first “official” camp comes in on Monday. The camps thus far have really just been workers getting camp ready for camp…does that make sense?? =)
Anyway, I have to get menu’s ready and last minute preparations done before Monday. So, I probably won’t be on a lot. I will do my paid stuff and I do have a review/GIVEAWAY coming up, but I won’t have a lot of spare time to peruse my bloggy friends stuff, although I will try to see what everyone has going on!!
Carry On!! =)
I thought the mess was gone….
Posted on December 27, 2009I THOUGHT my life would get easier when the snow fell because I would have less sand and dirt tracked in on my linoleum floor. I THOUGHT!!!! I was wrong!! I do not have dirt and sand anymore, now I have puddles from melted snow. I am not sure which I like less!!! Only because my socks are almost always WET!!! I am gonna start making people put disposable shoe covers on at the door!!! GGGRRRR!!!
That’s it, I’ve had it!! :)
Posted on December 12, 2009UUggghhh. Every time I go in pumpkin_seeds bathroom, the hand towel is on the floor. I don’t know if it’s her that throws it down or if it’s the neighbor kids who seem to live here part time. But I do know that I am losing my sanity!!! AAAhhhh!!! That’s it!! I’m buying one of those hand dryers, like the ones in restaurants….that will cut down on laundry too!!! I’m just sayin’…

Making a Happy Home Monday!
Posted on February 02, 2009I came across this “carnival” when I was visiting links on other blogs.
I have been wanting to get some things done around the house and what better motivation that being able to share my projects with all of you!!!
This week I am featuring one of my kitchen cupboards. Pumpkin_seed used to take care of the dishes and it was always a crap-shoot as to whether or not you could actually open the door when she was done, usually out of fear that everything was going to come crashing out upon you. So, now that we switched her chores, I take care of them. I think I like this better!!

TIT and TAT…Happy New Year!!!

Tackle It Tuesday is supposed to be about housekeeping, cleaning, organizing and the sort. Talk About Tuesday can be about a variety of things, so here you have it…a post “talking about” cleaning and organizing!! Thank You, Thank you, I’ll be here all week!!
**the info below is actually a re-post**
i LOVE a clean house! i don’t always love to clean…but i LOVE a clean house!! thurs. my daughter went to a friends house to spend the night. chuck (aka buster, my husband) and i went out for dinner and saw a movie, but before we went i took a few minutes to “unclutter”. you know, clear the dining room table of every thing that gets dropped there all week, take care of folded laundry, wipe down the counters and arrange the stuff on the counter…. so then yesterday all i had to do was clean the bathroom , do a quick dusting job and run the vacuum. aaaaahhhhhhhhh clean house. THEN this morning i got up…made breakfast for the fam and myself (love to that on the weekends!!). then hannah and i decided to clean out the fridge. what a mess that was. jelly all over the walls and shelves…blood form meat thawing , little bits of this and that stuck to the jelly and blood, and who knows what the clear gel stuff was?????????????? so we took all the shelves and drawers out, put them in the bath tub and washed them all off. put them back in and reloaded them. aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh clean fridge. lol i love a clean house! and a clean fridge! not a bad way to do it either, a little at a time. i find that if i do it that way…i don’t get overwhelmed with a long tiring day of work!! give it a try!! schedule one room per day or just do one “chore ” at a time. like totally clean the living room one day ( dust, vacuum, clean off tv and other entertainment stuff, wash windows, fluff pillows, clean blinds, etc.) then the bedroom the next day…one room per day. OR go through and dust every room one day . the next day vacuum all the rooms. so forth and so on. which ever you choose, it will be better than tackling all of it in one day! hope this helps others as much as it has helped me!

Once again, I was embarrassed to post a picture of my mess, it’s that bad! This is my hope chest, it used to sit in the living room, it is now in my “new” bedroom. It was a wreck!!! Like the telephone stand, it tends to be a “catch-all” place when we need to put something down, but don’t really know where to put it or don’t have time to take care of it, we lay it here and then it gets piled up…
Now that it’s in my room, hopefully it will always look like this!!!

Just like last time, I was a little embarrassed to even post this picture, it’s really bad! This is the telephone stand that is in between my kitchen and living room. It was a wreck!!! It tends to be a “catch-all” place when we need to put somethig down, but don’t really know where to put it or don’t have time to take care of it, we lay it here and then it gets piled up…
So, every couple weeks or so I unpile it and it looks great agan!! Let’s see if we can keep it this way for a while
