Just Some Thoughts

I have been watching a DVD series a friend gave me,made  by Dr. Kent Hovind.  It is all about evolution, dinosaurs and creation.  He debunks the theories of evolution and explains how God created the earth and everything on it and in it, including dinosaurs.

It is really interesting and all Biblical, by the way!  I have enjoyed it immensely.  I am on the last DVD and I couldn’t help but share this with you…

Dr. Hovind starts out by telling us that Adam watched God create things right in front of him.  He saw animals coming forth out of the ground and it was his job to name them.  He also states that Eve never saw God create anything, because she was made last.  This is probably why Satan went to Eve instead of Adam to trick her because she is “the weaker vessel”, not yet having seen with her own  eyes the power of God herself. (I Timothy 2:13-14)

He goes on to say that he believes that Adam knew full well what he was doing when he took the fruit from Eve.  Eve came to him with the fruit and He probably said to himself…”Oh brother, now you’ve done it”.  Adam knew that if he didn’t take the fruit and eat of it , too, that God would have to kill her (and only her).  So, he voluntarily, knowing what was going to happen, took the fruit and ate it;  essentially becoming sin for her and telling God that if He had to punish Eve, He’d have to do the same to him.  Adam wasn’t tricked or duped into anything, He knew what he was doing and did it willingly for Eve…

Much the same as Jesus Christ voluntarily becoming sin for you and I so that He could save US!!!!

What a powerful picture of what Jesus would do a couple thousand years later…
