I’ve had enough…

Maybe it’s just me, but I am tired of  those commercials on TV, you know the ones with a guy in an empty bath tub next to a woman, who also happens to be in an empty bath tub. Or the one where the house magically becomes a garden paradise right before our eyes…

Call me old fashioned but I think male enhancement drugs are not something that needs to be splattered all over the TV.  Especially when my 14 year old daughter is watching that TV….

Some things just need to stay private!!  OK, I’m done ranting……for now.

About Jo

I am a wife. I'm mom to three blessings, two in heaven (a 10 yr old and a sweet baby we never got to meet) and one teenage daughter (AAHHHH!?!?!?!) I am a lover of coffee and a lover of all things bright green, pink/purple and/or sparkly. I adore chocolate, and did I mention my love affair with coffee? And sparkles? Oh, and I have a thing for blogging, too. Aha...

I agree. It is inappropriate for younger ones to see. Also, the ads from pharmaceutical companies try to brainwash us into believing that they have a pill to take care of anything that ails us. Are you depressed, tell your doctor you want BRAND X, or whatever they are pushing in that commercial. I have several problems with that. First of all, although it treats the SYMPTOMS of the depression, it doesn’t treat the underlying cause. Only seeing a good therapist can do that. It’s like taking a tylenol for a headache caused by a brain tumor…….makes the headache go away, but the brain tumor is still there.

Secondly, I trust my doctor to know me well enough to let HIM figure out what meds I need to take, not march in and tell him, I want BRAND X. It is an insult to my intelligence and I’m sure my doctor would take it as an insult to his sense of knowing how to treat me properly…
