tell me about your Jesus…

tell me about your Jesus…

that was the title of the message yesterday morning for the AM service at church.  hadn’t ever really thought about it before, but there are people who believe in Jesus that aren’t saved.   it’s interesting to me that people can believe in Him and yet have never had a personal relationship with Him as their personal Savior.  i guess it’s not too far fetched, because i believe in things that i know to be true or real, but would never practice them in my own life.  abortion, for example, i “believe in it”  because i know it exists, people have them everyday, but it could never be a choice for me.

back to my original intent for this post…it matters not that we simply believe.  it matters in what or who we believe in!  we must believe that Jesus has the power to save and used that power to do so!  the Bible says that there are people who will come to Jesus and He will tell them to depart from Him , that He never knew them.  these are people who thought they knew Jesus and that they belonged in heaven.  that’s a scary thought.  see it’s not enough to just believe that Jesus was real, you must believe in His saving power, which comes from His Father, God.

just a little food for thought this morning…happy monday!
