CSN Stores ROCK!!!!! =)

As you may or may not know (probably the latter, since I have about 2.3 regular readers here), I did a giveaway/review post for CSN Stores a while back.  Recently they contacted me to do another review for them!! It’s so exciting, I know!!!!  This time it will be a review only, though.  Once again, they let me pick what I wanted to do my review on (within a certain price range).  So, as we were lying in bed, I asked my hubby what I should get to review.  Of course, he was no help at all, so I had to choose on my own.

So, since I have long wanted a fondue pot but haven’t really felt the need to splurge to get it myself, I decided to get one courtesy of CSN Stores .   THANK YOU CSN Stores!!!!  They have a really cool electric fondue set by Rival on one of their 200+ websites.  I.CANNOT.WAIT.TO.GET.IT and try it out!!!

Ain’t it perty??? =)

Don’t forget to come back and see what I have to say about my new fondue set!!!!

Let’s Go Shoppping!! =)

I absolutely love to shop online.  A lot of online stores only accept credit cards and/or Paypal as payment options, which, in my case, proves to be problematic, as I do not have a credit card.  I do have Paypal, but sometimes it is a pain to go to their site, log in, approve payment, blah blah blah blah blah.

Now, it’s even easier to shop online (LOVE THAT!!).  You simply shop, choose Ebill me when you’re all done and then when you get your bill ( by e-mail), make the payment at your online bank or at your walk-in location!! You can also get lots of online coupons on their site!! How cool is that??

The things we do to ourselves….

It could just be me, but it seems like there are an awful lot of weight loss pills out on the market these days.  I hate to talk about something no one wants to hear about, but I think this speaks volumes about the society we live in today.

Years ago, there weren’t many diet pills out there, or least they weren’t talked about so much.  People wanted to lose weight, they changed their diet and exercised more.  Our “microwave”, instant, I want it now mentality makes us do some crazy stuff!!

For instance, take pills that could potentially be harmful if not used correctly, or in themselves just be dangerous!!  People today want results right now, or why bother.  I must confess I, too get this way especially about weight loss.  I become discouraged very easily and don’t like to wait to see those pounds being shed!!!

Now, that is what I am talkin’ about…

…a “diet” pill that isn’t just a “diet” pill!!  A whole new animal, that’s what apidexin is!!  This is more like a fat-loss pill than a weight-loss pill.  And it has other benefits as well!! It is actually good for you, from what I read anyway…

Each and every ingredient in this product claims  to at some point increase the bodies ability to kill off fat cells and increase your metabolism (which will eventually result in weight loss).  Said ingredients also focus on building lean muscle as opposed to most weight loss pills, which generally only focus on losing water weight – which is almost always only a temporary loss.

Your fat burning and metabolism are both increased, but that’s not all!  You can increased thyroid function, lower cholesterol, increase circulation and absorb more vitamins and minerals.  To lose weight and keep it off, one must generally improve the overall health of ones body.

Apidexin is supposedly so good for you, it could actually be used for its added health even if it didn’t have the added benefit of fat loss.  Sounds like a win-win situation to me!?!

Sometimes, a job isn’t worth it!!

How is it that a company can hire someone and not tell them that their job is dangerous?? Companies that had their employees working with asbestos knew it was dangerous (maybe not right away, but eventually) and continued to let them work with it unprotected!! That is flat out wrong.

After they found out it was dangerous (it can and does cause Asbestos cancer), they should have taken every precaution possible to keep their employees safe!! There is no excuse for ignorance about this of this magnitude, either!!!!  If you think there may be a problem, you should take care of it!! We are talking about peoples lives here!!!  OK, I am done ranting now…..

camp….

camp is almost over already, they leave tomorrow after breakfast and clean up… seems like time goes by fast when camp is in!!! the traitors campers and staff all went tubing today (i can’t go because dinner has to be ready shortly after they return.  so i came home to catch up on stuff here, then i’ll go back up to camp and finish dinner!! i have the rolls rising and the cheesecake (the pudding and cream cheese type you put in the fridge) chilling already. we are having spaghetti, rolls, green beans, salad and cheesecake  so, it isn’t a hard meal to do by myself!! =)  hope everyone is having a fabulous day…take care!!

Thanks to our somewhat secure “jobs” here at camp (as long as we are being led to stay here by God, I can’t see us leaving, unless they KICK.US. OUT LOL), Buster and I don’t have to worry about such things as seeking employment.  I get a little nervous when I think about all the employment screening companies  have to do these days.  My hubby , when seeking employment after he lost his job with the USPS, heard such things as…

You are over-qualified for this job!

You don’t have enough experience on this machine for this job!

Do you have a background in this field?

It was terrible!! I am so thankful God has put us here at camp and that we can served Him here and all our needs will be met because we are in His will!!  If only everyone could say that!

Camp is upon us!!

So, it’s that time of year again.  Camp season.  Our first “official” camp comes in on Monday.  The camps thus far have really just been workers getting camp ready for camp…does that make sense?? =)

Anyway, I have to get menu’s ready and last minute preparations done before Monday.  So, I probably won’t be on a lot.  I will do my paid stuff and I do have a review/GIVEAWAY coming up, but I won’t have a lot of spare time to peruse my bloggy friends stuff, although I will try to see what everyone has going on!!

Carry On!! =)

Gotta Love it!!

Though you wouldn’t know it looking at my menu plan for the week, I am actually trying to get my family to eat better!!  I am cooking up at camp this week and not just for us, so to try new things would be difficult.  Anyways, I am trying to get Buster to “diet”.  That is like trying to tie down and elephant with thread!! Not that my husband is in any way like an elephant….let me continue before I get myself in trouble…..

My point is, it is hard to get my husband to diet!!! =)  I did get him into the habit of taking multivitamins for men for a while, though.   I don’t really know how much good they did him with the way he ate, but I guess they didn’t do him any harm!!   Since I do not do all the grocery shopping, it’s hard to keep only healthy stuff in the house.  And then there is my teenage daughter who does not in any way shape or form need to LOSE.ANY.WEIGHT.  In fact, she could stand to gain some, probably.  And she does love potato chips in a big way!! She is always asking me to buy them, but then they are here and since I.LOVE.THEM.I.EAT.THEM!!!

Do you see the problem here??? =)

UUgghh..

OK, so after spouting off at the mouth the other day about looking younger than I am, I find out that not everyone thinks so!! LOL  People either think I am way younger than my true age or way older.  A friend and I went to a women’s conference  a while back.  Some boys from a college nearby tried to recruit me to go to their school.  At the same conference, we had a couple girls come up to us and ask if I was my friends mother!! Her mother!! I am only a few years older than her.  How can I be her mother?!?!

So, here I am, almost 35, and I am getting a few lines and wrinkles around my eyes.  If I am diligent about moisturizer, they are usually not very noticeable.  Why is it that I can’t get the  best wrinkle cream on the market for less than like $50??? Who can afford that?  And they only get more expensive from there.  It just isn’t fair!! I guess I will have to keep my fine lines and wrinkles….

The Core…

In the light of the fact that I am trying to lose some weight, I suppose I should add some sort of exercise to my daily routine.  More than just a walk here and there…. I have a small exercise trampoline I can use and I have a Wii exercise “game” as well, but with camps starting,  soon it’s going to be all about TIME and my lack of it, for personal use, anyway! I have heard, though, if you get your core workout in, the rest will fall in line…anyone know a good ab workout ?

I’m not looking to get “built” or anything like that, I just want to be healthy and of course, look good in my clothes (preferably a few sizes smaller)  =)
