some people….

why is it that some people just have to make a federal offense out of EVERYTHING???? you try to be nice and even compliment someone, and the first thing they do is criticize and lash out.  why can’t they just be thankful for the compliment and leave it at that??

instead they have to dwell on the negative and tear you down over something stupid!! i just don’t understand.  i feel like no matter what i do, its’ always going to be wrong, as it always has been in the past.  you just can’t please some people no matter how hard you try.  i thought since i am being whiny, i would add this little poll to my sidebar…look way over there on the right side, keep looking, its over there—————————————————————>

please vote!! :)

About Jo

I am a wife. I'm mom to three blessings, two in heaven (a 10 yr old and a sweet baby we never got to meet) and one teenage daughter (AAHHHH!?!?!?!) I am a lover of coffee and a lover of all things bright green, pink/purple and/or sparkly. I adore chocolate, and did I mention my love affair with coffee? And sparkles? Oh, and I have a thing for blogging, too. Aha...

  1. I spent a lot of years trying to please people without much success and one day I made up my mind that I was only going to work at pleasing God first and myself second! There are always going to be those who will criticize you no matter what you do, so why bother? We will ultimately only be required to give an account to God for what WE do on this earth, so just try to please Him and put everyone else in His hands to deal with! I’m sure you will be a much happier person! You have survived some very difficult challenges! I know, I lost my Michael when he was 23. God surely was your strength during those times and I know He has never left your side! May God’s love surround you today on this another Mother’s Day!

emily, thank you for your kind word of encouragement!! you are so right…i have learned this lesson FINALLY at almost 35. i am ashamed it has taken me that long, but i always want to see the good in others and believe that they can change. but you can’t change someone else, only yourself!! :) i know it sounds like I am having a pity party for myself, but i’m really not…i needed to vent and get it off my chest…now i am better!! :) that’s why i like to blog, it is therapeutic!! :) again, thank you and HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

ps..so sorry to hear of your loss, i did not know that about you! so glad you have found comfort in God as i have!! :) God Bless!!
