Posted on February 12, 2010I have this friend who refuses to take her prenatal vitamins because they make her ill. I told her just take a multi-vitamin then. She does do that she says, when she thinks about it. I keep telling her that this could be the reason she went early with her first two and why they were TINY when they were born!! Some people just don’t listen! I don’t understand why women put themselves and their baby’s health at risk when they can do something about it?? It’s one thing if it’s just your health you are risking but you have to think of your baby too!! I’m just sayin’…

This weeks recipe is very simple!! It’s just bagged salad (whatever kind you prefer is just fine). Real bacon pieces, hard boiled egg, sunflower seeds, cheese and your choice of dressing!! You can even add more to this if you like!!! Just look at this masterpiece!!!

Posted on February 06, 2010I had been blogging for a very short time when I heard that you could actually make money doing it. A friend of mine told me she was making $200-$300 every two weeks just doing paid posts on her blog. So, I thought I would check it out and see if I could make money at it. Almost two years later, I am making some money, and I am loving it, but I feel like with the right connections, I could be making much more. So when I heard about business2blogger, you can imagine how excited I was to check it out!! They do all the hard work for you, FOR FREE!!! They connect the right businesses to the right bloggers and the right bloggers to the right businesses. So, now that I am signed up with them, maybe I can finally start making some real money doing what I love to do!! Thanks for a great opportunity guys!!

Job Prospects…
Posted on February 05, 2010The State I live in has the highest rate of UN employment in the country!!!! It’s times like this when I am so thankful that I am married to a Godly man who is more interested in being in God’s will than “the bottom line”. He feels that it is God’s will (and so do I) that we work here at Fort Faith Bible Camp as “missionaries”. Not once since we have been out here have we had to worry about paying our bills. God always provides! So even though we are both technically unemployed because we do not have “regular” paying jobs, we are beyond wealthy in so many ways!!

Updating our house…
Posted on February 04, 2010OK, so whoever did the tile work in our old house, sucked at it!! I mean big time. And because we are trying to sell our house, I think it needs to be changed. The grout work is terrible, the tiles aren’t even straight and they cracked some of them when they put them up. Not that I would do any better, but I know this about myself and would make let someone else do it!! I found some gorgeous glass tiles that I would love to use, but now I’m thinking, maybe not just at the old house, but here at my new house, too!! Wait til I tell my husband!! LOL

Home Entertainment!!
Posted on February 03, 2010Friends of ours recently bought a 52″ wide screen TV. Then the guy built a huge arm for the thing out of metal, to hang it from. Then he rigged it up so you can either watch it in the living room or swing it around and watch it in the “addition” which is an office, work out room, pool (one of those small lap pools), etc. Then he has some HUGE speakers hooked up to it so you get the home theater effect when you watch a movie. It’s nice!!

Tempt my Taco Luvin’ Tummy!!

As most of you know, my hubby and I live and work full-time at a Christian camp. We have several youth summer camps, but also cater to adult retreats and winter camps, as well. Well, the camp director’s wife has a “part time” job with the USPS, but as recently been working full-time as her boss is dying of cancer. So, I have been cooking meals for her so that she has less to worry about in the evenings when she finally gets home from work. Simple, but yummy meals. Last night we had Tacos!! Oh, how I love Tacos!!
Tacos
What you need:
- 2-3 lbs ground beef ( I used venison burger because I have a lot of it I have to use up)
- 1-2 packages store bought taco seasoning (use your favorite brand and as much as you like)
- flour or corn tortilla shells, whatever size you prefer ( if you are feeding 8, plan on using at least 16)
- hard shells if anyone likes them ( I LUV them)
- your favorite salsa
- lettuce
- tomato
- onion
- sour cream
- cheese (I use a taco blend, but whatever you like is fine)
You can omit any of the items above or substitute with others, make ‘em how you like ‘em!!
What to do:
- brown your ground beef til no longer pink, drain excess fat, make taco meat according to package directions
- either warm your soft shells in the microwave or “fry” them in oil or butter in a pan or on a griddle
- put meat in center of taco shell
- add your “toppings” of choice
- roll up and eat!! I don’t recommend rolling hard shells, it’s messy!!

Gifting Idea…
Posted on February 01, 2010I have a friend who likes “unique” things. I am always at a loss as to what to get her for her birthday, Christmas, etc. I find I am always struggling when it come to finding gifts for her. Only because the more “unique” or unusual gifts are often more expensive, although that isn’t always the case. You just have to know where to go to find them!!
