Acne, not just a problem for teens!!

Posted on October 10, 2009

I have never had a major problem with acne myself.  As a teen , I would get break outs just before my cycle would start, but never really had acne any other time.  I always thought that acne was a teen problem, but a  friend of mine has problems with break-outs all the time and she is in her mid-late twenties. Since there isn’t just one cause, it can be hard to  get rid of acne.  I still don’t have a lot of problems with it, but I do get an occasional blemish.  I have heard that diet, exercise and drinking enough water are all ways to control acne?? What works for you??

Hmm, I’m like you and never had much problem, to speak of. I’ve heard the oil cleansing method works great, but haven’t tried it personally. It will be interesting to see what advice you get!

That’s a good question. I have suffered with acne for most of my life, and while pregnant with my first child, it flared up big-time. After I finished breastfeeding, I went to see a dermatologist, who gave me some prescription things that didn’t help a ton. What did help was Murad’s Acne Control kit – it’s got a cleanser, a toner, a moisturizer and an oh-crap-I-have-a-zit cream. Works wonders.

BTW, I finally posted my chicken lo mein recipe this morning that you were excited about a few weeks ago – it’s been a hairy couple of weeks in my household, so sorry for the delay!!
