vacation…

 - by Jo

Buster and I are in the market for a mini vacay possibly this fall, maybe next spring.  I have been checking out some vacation spots that are not local, but not too far away.    I wasn’t aware that you could stay ANYWHERE for $39 /night until I looked at some Branson vacations the other day.  They have packages that are as low as $99 including motel/hotel and entertainment!! Stuff for kids and adults!! Looks like I need to do some more investigating!! :)

Tempt my Money Savin’ Tummy…

 - by Jo

I am always looking for a way to save a buck….or two or three…..

So, whenever I can use left-overs from one meal to make another, this pleases me!!  This is a great way to use left-over rotisserie chicken, baked chicken, any kind of chicken.  You can use canned as well, but that wouldn’t save you anything….unless you had great coupons or you could get it free!!!  Anyway, on to the recipe….

CREAMY CHICKEN

1 can cream of mushroom soup (could use cream of chicken or celery if you prefer)

1/2 c. dairy sour cream (could use non-dairy )

1-2 c.  leftover or canned chicken (amount can varie, depending on your tastes)

1 bag frozen  mixed veggies (any variety you like)

2 T. chopped parsley

Combine soup and sour cream in a large saucepan.  Break chicken up into bite-size pieces and stir into soup mixture with veggies; heat slowly stirring several times, to boiling.   Simmer 5 minutes, to blend flavor.  Stir in parsley.  Can serve over rice or noodles or potatoes.

This is our family picture we used for our Prayer Card.  We have a Prayer Card because we have recently gone into full-time Christian service.  We are serving as missionaries at a Bible camp for youth.  A lot of great things lie ahead of us here at the camp and your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

If you could have God’s promise that YOU would go right to HEAVEN when you die, would you take it??

Let me show YOU how YOU can have This Promise!!

ALL HAVE SINNED

ROMANS 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

GOD’S PRICE ON SIN

ROMANS 6:23 A For the wages of sin is death.

THERE ARE TWO DEATHS

REVELATION 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

OUR WAY OUT

ROMANS 5:8-9 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

GOD’S PERSONAL PROMISE

ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation. Bow you head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul. Saying a prayer does not save you!! You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you have read this and accepted Christ as your personal Savior, CONGRATULATIONS on getting that taken care of, you’ll be so glad you did!! Please leave your name in a comment so that I can pray for you !!! And also find yourself a good, Bible (King James) preaching Church where you can grow in your faith!!

God Bless!!

My son was killed in an auto-accident at 10 (He asked the Lord to be his Savior when he was 7)!! We have no guarantee of how long we have on this earth, we need to spread the word!!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!! Til then…

Pumpkin_Seed

 - by Jo

in cooperation with Wordful Wednesday @

I had a really bad episode the other night.  I don’t know if it was stress from camp, stress from my sons birthday being last Saturday (he would have been 15), or just my Bipolar wreaking havoc again.  In any case, it doesn’t really matter.  The fact is I woke up at 1:30 AM in a panic.  Pumpkin_seeds  bedroom is across the hall from ours and I could see light coming through at the top and bottom of her door.  For some reason, this fed my panic and I jumped out of bed  because I thought there was something wrong.  In my mind, I thought for sure someone had taken her or she was dead. I don’t know why, that’s just what I thought.

So, I open her door and she is lying there on the floor awake.  I asked her what she was doing.  She said she didn’t know, she just couldn’t sleep.  I told her it was late and that she needed to turn the light off and go to sleep. I went back to bed, but still in a panic, I couldn’t settle down.  I got up, went back to Pumpkin_seed’s room.  Her light was off now and she was in her bed.  I went to her and asked her if she was OK.  She said she was.  I asked her if she needed to talk, she said no.  I asked her if she would tell me if something was bothering her, she said yes.  I told her I loved her and she said she loved me too.

I went back to my room and went to bed, but I didn’t sleep much that night and all the next day (Sunday), I was unsettled and panicky.  I cried at the drop of a hat and was very tired and depressed.  Then Sunday evening, the panic faded and the depression lifted and I have been fine ever since.  I don’t know what happened but what I do know is that I LOVE this girl more than life itself and I don’t ever want to have to live my life without her!!
