informal wedding…

Posted on July 23, 2009

I recently saw some pictures of someones wedding and the guy didn’t have a tuxedo on.  Is this common place these days.  I remember when I got married (a loooong time ago), it was like the “in thing” to wear a tux.  You were a major loser if you didn’t.  No offense to the non-tux wearer.  I guess things are just more informal these days than they were years ago.  I guess the whole wedding was informal, though.  It was outside, barbecue style.  I guess he would have looked funny wearing a tux??  What do you think??  I don’t know….

message for all those retail stores out there…

Sometimes I marvel at my own amazingness (is that a word??) OK, so here is what I’m thinking about these days…How many of you know about Christmas in July??  Well, how many of you know about the Black Friday sales just before the “real” Christmas??  I was thinking, wouldn’t it be cool if we could have those for Christmas in July??  Come on now, are you picking up what I’m puttin’ down here, or what?? Then we could get stuff dirt cheap TWICE a year!! I’m just sayin’…..

nothing like a good book…

Posted on July 23, 2009

When I need to relax and unwind, there is nothing better than sitting down with a good book.  I like a good romantic storyline now and then, but I think mostly, I like a good murder mystery or suspense type of storyline better.   What’s your favorite kind of book??

I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and read but I do like to do  it when I can.  And these days books are easy to come by, too.  You can find great books online at Amazon books.  They have a wide variety of books at good prices!!

Happy Reading, see you soon.  Til then…

So, I normally do a post every week about how you can know for sure that you are going to heaven when you die.  This week I thought I would add a picture and join Angie for a blog carnival.  This is our family picture we used for our Prayer Card.  We have a Prayer Card because we have recently gone into full-time Christian service.  We are serving as missionaries at a Bible camp for youth.  A lot of great things lie ahead of us here at the camp and your prayers would be greatly appreciated.  Financial support would also be a blessing…if you feel led to help us out in that regard, please let me know and I can give you our mailing information!!  Thanks so much in advance for your support by way of prayer and also any financial support you could give as well!!

If you could have God’s promise that YOU would go right to HEAVEN when you die, would you take it??

Let me show YOU how YOU can have This Promise!!

ALL HAVE SINNED

ROMANS 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

GOD’S PRICE ON SIN

ROMANS 6:23 A For the wages of sin is death.

THERE ARE TWO DEATHS

REVELATION 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

OUR WAY OUT

ROMANS 5:8-9 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

GOD’S PERSONAL PROMISE

ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation. Bow you head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul. Saying a prayer does not save you!! You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you have read this and accepted Christ as your personal Savior, CONGRATULATIONS on getting that taken care of, you’ll be so glad you did!! Please leave your name in a comment so that I can pray for you !!! And also find yourself a good, Bible (King James) preaching Church where you can grow in your faith!!

God Bless!!

If you don’t need this message, but know someone who does, feel free to link them to this or just tell them about the blog post!! It is important that every person get this taken care BEFORE it is too late. We often think we have all the time in the world, what’s the rush?? My son was killed in an auto-accident at 10 (He asked the Lord to be his Savior when he was 7)!! We have no guarantee of how long we have on this earth, we need to spread the word!!

alarm systems….do we need them???

Posted on July 20, 2009

I think the average person probably doesn’t need an alarm system for protection.  Although, if you have the money to spend, it probably isn’t a bad idea to get one, even if  just for the feeling of knowing you have that protection.  There are all kinds of options for the consumer these days, including wireless alarms.  If you are in the market,  I would suggest shopping around, finding out exactly what type of security you need and pricing different options to get the best system for your money!!!
