Tempt My Tummy Tuesday…

This weeks TMTT recipe is for the most awesome chocolate chip cookies ever!! Well, almost. I do have one I like better , but they are more work!! So here you are:

Best Ever (Almost) Chocolate Chip Cookies

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 T. vanilla
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips of chocolate chunks

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine first three ingredients in a bowl; set aside. Combine butter and sugars in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Reduce speed to low. Beat, gradually adding flour mixture until well ,mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and/or chunks. Drop dough by 1/8-1/4 cup fulls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-14 minutes or until light golden brown. (DO NOT OVERBAKE). Let stand 1 minute on cookie sheet: place on cooling rack to fully cool.

Bills…..

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Hopefully our house will sell soon so we won’t have to worry about the taxes on it anymore and we won’t have the gas and electric to pay anymore, either!! Living out at camp is nice because we don’t have taxes and the camp pays most of the utilities. The only bills we will have renters insurance for our belongings in case of theft or fire or something like that, gas for the vehicles and insurance for the vehicles. And the phone and internet bills. We recently got a few auto insurance quotes and found out we could save $500 a year on insurance, so we switched, of course. Now we are paying for our vehicles AND our house what we used to pay just for the vehicles!!! It’s awesome. I guess it pays to shops around!!! ;)

so sad…

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

I see commercials on TV all the time for lawyers who help people who have been injured at work or where things the employees are exposed to can harm or kill them. Like the mesothelioma commercials. Why would employers knowingly put their employees at risk for this kind of stuff?? Don’t the employees ask about the chemicals and products they are working with? The fact that people die or get sick from their jobs just makes me mad and sad all at the same time!!

Heaven is a Wonderful place!!

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

If you could have God’s promise that YOU would go right to HEAVEN when you die, would you take it??

Let me show YOU how YOU can have This Promise!!

ALL HAVE SINNED

ROMANS 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

GOD’S PRICE ON SIN

ROMANS 6:23 A For the wages of sin is death.

THERE ARE TWO DEATHS

REVELATION 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

OUR WAY OUT

ROMANS 5:8-9 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

GOD’S PERSONAL PROMISE

ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation. Bow you head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul. Saying a prayer does not save you!! You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you have read this and accepted Christ as your personal Savior, CONGRATULATIONS on getting that taken care of, you’ll be so glad you did!! Please leave your name in a comment so that I can pray for you !!! And also find yourself a good, Bible (King James) preaching Church where you can grow in your faith!!

God Bless!!

If you don’t need this message, but know someone who does, feel free to link them to this or just tell them about the blog post!! It is important that every person get this taken care BEFORE it is too late. We often think we have all the time in the world, what’s the rush?? My son was killed in an auto-accident at 10 (He asked the Lord to be his Savior when he was 7)!! We have no guarantee of how long we have on this earth, we need to spread the word!!

new house has no storage!! :(

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

Since the new house has little to no storage, Buster and I were thinking we might like to look at getting one of those steel buildings people use for sheds. We could use for storing extra bedding, holiday decor, seasonal clothing and such since it would keep animals out and will stay dry. I think that would work much better than a wooden shed and then we wouldn’t have all the upkeep of a wooden building, either! It’s just a thought!

pleased to bring you this recipe in cooperation with …

Today’s recipe is actually for wild game (Venison) but you could use beef, pork or chicken if you like. For chicken or pork I would probably use white wine for the marinade, though.

VENISON KEBABS WITH VEGGIES

For the marinade:
1/4 c. red wine
1/4 c. oil
1 t. dry mustard
1 T. soy sauce

For the kebabs:
1 lb. venison (or whatever meat you are using)
8 cherry tomatoes
1 onion, cut into 8 wedges
16 mushrooms
16 pieces of pepper (yellow, green, red and or orange) I like to use all of them for a nice rainbow effect! ;)

How to put it all together:

Heat barbecue 20 minutes or so before cooking. In a bowl, combine all marinade ingredients. Add cubed meat and marinate for 4-6 hours. Drain the meat. Slip cubed meat onto skewers, alternating with veggies ending up with meat on the very end to hold every thing on skewer. Cook on barbecue until meat is done and veggies are tender-crisp. Don’t overcook!! Baste with marinade from time to time.

**please be patient with me, wordpress is acting up and i can’t space right or use color in my post window??**

Off I go…

Off I go to no internet land once again…hope to see you all soon!! Til then, hugs and prayers!! Take Care! My love to all!! ;)

Job security…

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

My friends think I should go back and redo my schooling for being a Medical Assistant. I’m not sure if I would have to take all the classes again or just refreshers or what I would have to do. I graduated with honors the first time through so, I think I could do it again if I had to. I just don’t really have the time at the moment, or really the need for a job. IF things work out the way we hope they will that is. But my point was that their will always be a need for health care jobs.

Even with a weak economy, we will still need Doctors and Nurses and the like. So, I wouldn’t have to worry about finding and keeping a job as much as some others might.

To blog or not to blog, that is the question…

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

OK. This is my dilema….

I love to blog and I love to read blogs. I now live in an area where internet will either have to be off of a cell-phone service or dial up. Both of these are painfully slow. But in order to blog everyday and keep up on blogs I like, I would really need internet at home.

The other problem is I pay for my domain name and hosting for my site. I did have one through wordpress at one time, but they don’t like you to do paid posts on their blogs. And since I like to do paid posts now and then for Ebay money, I need a site where I can do so. So, do I go back to wordpress or blogger and just post when I can get to a computer with internet and forgo the paid posts or do I continue to pay for my site for the occasional diet pill post and deal with dial up or cell connection??

Or, do I just give up on the whole blogging thing in general??? I hate the thought of that, but I am busier and busier all the time anyway ,so I don’t know what to do????????????
