Want to get your Dad, Grandpa, Husband or significant other a great Father’s Day gift that they will actually use???  I have an idea for you…Why not get him a flash drive for Father’s Day??  They are portable, easy to use and handy to have!!  My husband has several of them that he uses for different things.  They are affordable and useful!!  Unlike that trout tie you bought him last year, you know the one he will never wear…   ;)

This is the new “master bedroom”….it looks small in this picture, but it is actually a decent size.  Not much smaller than my old bedroom!! Plus it has the snazzy bathroom right off of it, so hey, man, it’s all good!!!

ROMANS 5:8-9 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 

GOD’S PERSONAL PROMISE

ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation.  Bow you head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul.  Saying a prayer does not save you!!  You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. 

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you don’t need this message, but know someone who does, feel free to link them to this or just tell them about the blog post!!  It is important that every person get this taken care BEFORE it is too late.  We often think we have all the time in the world, what’s the rush??  My son was killed in an auto-accident at 10 (He asked the Lord to be his  Savior when he was 7)!!  We have no guarantee of how long we have on this earth, we need to spread the word!!

I got this recipe from my MIL.  At first, I thought it sounded totally gross, but once I made it, there was no going back!! It makes an awesome chocolate cake that is VERY moist!!

Without further ado, I give you…MAYONNAISE CAKE

What you will need:

2 c. sifted flour

1 c. sugar

1/2 c. cocoa powder 

1 1/2 t. baking soda

pinch of salt

3/4 c. mayonnaise (mom always uses miracle whip)

1 c. cold water

1 t. vanilla

Directions:

Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl.  Make a whole in the center of the dry ingredients.  Add mayo, cold water and vanilla.  Beat together until smooth.  Pour into a greased and floured 9×13 pan.  Bake at 350° 25 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted int he center of the cake comes out clean.

Laura hosts Menu Monday for us every Monday.  This isn’t a new thing for me, I was making  my menu’s for a month in advance, but now I do it weekly.  Sometimes we get busy and I end up making, something else, so if you see something on here from last week, chances are I didn’t make it when I thought I would. OR I did, and my family wants it again!!

Friday~usually get together with the neighbors!!   could be anything!!

I have always loved the look of a corset!!  They make your waist look so tiny and your “girls” stand up and look pretty, just a nice look all the way around.  I have not, however, loved the idea of sucking everything in and not being able to breath!!!  One of these days I’m going to invest in a nice one, I saw a reversible one on the site I’m linked to, it looks like it could be comfy and versatile!!!  Go check it out!!

The “new” house has two, count them, two bathrooms!!  Neither of them is huge, but they are plenty big enough for me!!    The top pic is the main bathroom, the bottom one is MINE all MINE!!    The master bathroom has a shower stall only, no tub, as you can see.  But that is OK with me!!  At least I have my own bathroom now!! Love that! It is right off the master bedroom which I will be showing you next week!!

Are you sick of the diet pill posts yet?? I am getting there!! LOL   Some people go to such extremes to get the result they want.  IF you are going to use pills as a means to lose weight, I would recommend that you check out some diet pill reviews.  Just because then you will know how other people have reacted to them and if they have had good results with them.  Also remember, though, every person is different and always check with your Dr. before starting something new!!

Today’s recipe is for Bran Muffins….before you click to something else, let me tell you, these are awesome!!!!  The recipe makes a ton of muffins and the mix will stay good in the fridge for up to six weeks!!  So, you don’t have to bake them all at once, if you don’t need them!!

Six Week Muffin Mix

What you will need:

1 (15 oz) box Raisin Bran

3 c. sugar

5 c. flour

5 t. baking soda

1 t. salt

1 qt. buttermilk

1 c. oil

Directions:

Mix well and refrigerate overnight.  Put muffin mix into muffin pans making as many as you would like.  Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes.  Store remaining muffin mix in the refrigerator, tightly sealed for up to six weeks.
