Busy Busy Busy…

Sorry, I haven’t been around much lately….I have been working so much at camp that I haven’t been on the computer much at all!!  Just enough to check e-mail basically.  It’s been crazy around here.  We had no water for like a week so I couldn’t do laundry or anything, then when we got the water back on, we had camp to take care of so I haven’t been able to catch up.  And now I have a really bad cold, so I don’t feel like doing any of it!!  Ha Ha!!

My twin sister “J” calls me a couple times a week or so, usually just to gab, but she just bought a new phone and she couldn’t figure out how to make all the bells and whistles work on  it.  She has cerebral palsy, so sometimes even the easiest tasks are hard for her to figure out.  So, I helped her with that.  It’s been crazy around here!!   But I will be back in the swing of things around here soon!!  Be patient with me!! :)

First Post Friday….

Posted on February 12, 2009

This was my first blog post on my blog.  It used to be over at blog-diggidy.blogspot.com  but now i have my own domain here and I host a blog on it!!  I love it!! So without further ado…I give you my first blog post…

I believe that we wives and mothers set the spiritual tone in our homes. At least that’s what I have been taught. You know the saying, “When Mom’s happy, everyone is happy”. Do you ever have one of those days where you just want to crawl under the covers and hide all day?? I have those often.

I am thirty-two years old. I have been married for almost fifteen years. I have an eleven year old daughter and a would be fourteen year old son.  He was killed in an auto accident at ten years old. He would be fourteen years old August 15th. His name was Elijah. And though we miss him very much EVERY day….we find strength and peace in the fact that he was saved and is now in heaven. So I deal with the loss of my son everyday. To add to that, I am Bipolar, have Borderline Personality, and OCD. Whoa!! You think I must been on twenty five prescription drugs don’t you?? I am on NONE. That’s right NONE. I read my Bible everyday, I pray to the one TRUE God everyday, and every time the Church doors are open, I’m there. That is how I treat my mania, depression and neurotic behavior!!

Now I’m here to tell you , I still have bad days, just like anyone else. BUT I am also here to tell you , I could never get through the tough times without my Lord and Saviour. I also have a wonderful husband that takes very good care of me!! I had a not-so-great childhood and I have a lot of abuse in my past (physical, emotional and sexual), but I don’t let that determine who I am. I used to, but I have given all of that to the Lord and I now I choose to be happy and content. Yes, some would say I have every right to be bitter and sad because of my circumstances, but I believe that that would hurt only me and my family and most of all God. After all, he has given me so much to be thankful for. Everything that has happened to me in my life has made me who I am today, and I kinda like who I am and where I am. So to regret anything in my life or wish it hadn’t happened would be like saying I don’t like where God has put me and what He has given me. I need to have a positive attitude and a thankful spirit.

We, as humans are all sinners, deserving hell. I know that sounds harsh but it is Biblically true. So anything above hell is a bonus in my way of thinking. God sent his only Son to die on the cross so we wouldn’t have to got to hell. I don’t even deserve that!!!! So, any blessings I receive above that I am blessed or as some may say “lucky” to have!! So, in conclusion, remember that anything you have that is good in your life , you have God to thank for it. AND I think we all have more than we deserve!! So the next time we don’t want to crawl out from under those covers, let’s try to remember what God has done for us!! Thanks for reading, Have a Happy Day, God Bless!!

There you  have it folks, my first blog post…..

ok , so buster and a friend get the old septic pipe dug up and put the new one in and bury it just in time to have dinner and go to Church last night.  we go to church and i come home and tell buster i am relieved that  i will finally be able to get my dishes done and some laundry, too!! or so i thought!!

we are sitting there watching tv last night and all the sudden the pump starts running…..we listen and it shuts off.  ok nothing to worry about.  5 minutes later it starts again.  buster says what’s up with that why is the pump running?  are you running water somewhere? (he asked me not to because he had to pour cement around the connection between pipes or something and he would like it to set up before we have a ton of water going through it).  so i  say, “no, you asked me not to til morning”.

so he gets up and goes downstairs to see what is going on.  the STUPID water tank has sprung a leak and the basement floor is soaked in about a 3ft x 3ft area.  the carpet is soaked, the toys are soaked, the EVERYTHING is soaked!!!!!

so now the septic problem is solved, but we still can’t do dishes or laundry or use the toilet or shower because the water tank has to stay empty!!!  i am telling you, i am going to lose my mind!!!!

Witness Wednesday….

Posted on February 11, 2009

Witness Wednesday is how I am going to reach out and make my faith known.  Wouldn’t  you like to know where you will spend eternity??  Read on….

If you could have God’s promise that YOU would go right to HEAVEN when you die, would you take it??

Let me show YOU how YOU can have This Promise!!

ALL HAVE SINNED

ROMANS 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

GOD’S PRICE ON SIN

ROMANS 6:23 A For the wages of sin is death.

THERE ARE TWO DEATHS

REVELATION 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

OUR WAY OUT

ROMANS 5:8-9 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

GOD’S PERSONAL PROMISE

ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Take God at his word and claim His promise for your salvation.  Bow you head right now and sincerely ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and to save your soul.  Saying a prayer does not save you!!  You must believe what the Bible says and mean it in your heart to be saved!!!

ROMANS 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture sayeth, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

Once you are eternally saved, you are always eternally saved…

HEBREWS 13:5B…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If you have read this and accepted Christ as your personal Saviour, CONGRATULATIONS on getting that taken care of, you’ll be so glad you did!!   Please leave your name in a comment so that I can pray for you !!! And also find yourself a good, Bible (King James) preaching Church where you can grow in your faith!!

God Bless!!

If you don’t need this message, but know someone who does, feel free to link them to this or just tell them about the blog post!!  It is important that every person get this taken care BEFORE it is too late.  We often think we have all the time in the world, what’s the rush??  My son was killed in an auto-accident at 10 (He asked the Lord to be his  Saviour when he was 7)!!  We have no guarantee of how long we have on this earth, we need to spread the word!!

It looks innocent enough, doesn’t it??? It is the devil’s spawn I tell you!!!! THE DEVIL’S FRICKIN’ SPAWN!!!

A few weeks ago, we started having problems with it.  Well, not really IT, but the pipe that runs from it to the septic tank.  It seemed to be frozen or something.  Well, come to find out, it wasn’t frozen, it was CLOGGED.  Hubby dug it up yesterday and it was a 3-4 inch in diameter pipe, but it is made of asphalt!! I didn’t even know they made pipes out of that…..anyway, that’s not my point!  It is 3-4 inches in diameter but was so full of  “sludge” that it was only 1-2 inches in diameter on the inside.  Well, that’s not very big folks!!! So anyway for the last two days, we have not been able to do dishes, laundry, bathe, or flush the toilet with regularity.  I am going insane here!!  After work Buster is supposed to put the new pipe in so hopefully I can shower this evening!! **rolls around in her own filth**

Tuesday’s Tribute…

Posted on February 10, 2009

Tuesday's Tributebrought to you by: Deb and Jay

I have been reading a lot lately about parents having to deal with the death of  a child.  My heart  physically hurts for them as I read their stories.  Today I  want to pay tribute to those who are suffering the loss of a child.  Those who have not gone through the loss of someone so close to them may not understand what goes on in someones life when they have a loss like this, and I HOPE they never HAVE to!!!  I have to say a little about me to make this point, forgive me Jay ;)

I lost my son when he was 10.  Through the senseless act of another.  A 65 year old man ran a stop sign and hit us as we were travelling down the road.  This tragedy replays itself in my mind almost daily.  I WILL NEVER forget!!  I WILL NEVER get over it.  I WILL NEVER stop hurting.  But with God’s grace, I WILL LIVE my life!!

Most people suffer the loss of a Grandparent or  Parent, often Aunts and Uncles.  Death is a natural part of LIFE and we all have to have some part in it.  But losing a child is different.  No One expects it.  These things never happen to “us”.    Our children are supposed to outlive us.  We aren’t supposed to bury our children, it’s the other way around.   “Old” people are supposed to die after living a long, happy, full life.

Sometimes for reasons unknown to us, maybe, God has another plan.   This tribute is to all those like me, who have lost a child and  had to make way for God’s plan and readjust there lives to it.  May God bless you in every area of your life.  May He hold you in His comforting arms.  My He surround you with love and support.   May He get the glory in all things.

Let’s join in on the fun with  BlessedWithGrace shall we???

This weeks recipe is very simple!!   You will need:  1 small box of Pasta, 1 bag California Blend Veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots), 1/4 to 1/2 c. butter/margarine, 1/2-3/4 can canned salmon, garlic salt, Parmesan cheese, any other seasonings you like to add.  I never measure anything for this, so the measurements are guesses, so add, reduce or delete whatever you need to!!

You simply take spaghetti, angel hair pasta, or whatever type of pasta you like and cook according to package directions.  While doing that, steam your veggies.  Drain pasta and add a couple Tablespoons of butter/margarine to it in the pan ( I like to use butter and margarine because I like the taste of butter, but not the fat so I try to add a little butter and more margarine, add as much as you like for flavor and moisture) and season with garlic salt and salt and pepper to taste.   When veggies are tender-crisp, season with garlic salt to taste.  Add these to pasta and butter in pan.

Next, you open a can of salmon and drain it.  Flake the salmon with a fork (be sure to take as many bones out as you can).  Add to mixture in pan and heat to desired temperature.  Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese to taste, and EAT!!

The possibilities are endless…

Since, the Big Bad Buster, Pumpkin_seed and I might be moving soon, my mind is a flutter with ideas of how to put what we have now into the “new” house.  Since the “new” house is about half the size or maybe even smaller, some of our stuff is going to have to be sold in a moving sale and some of it we are going to donate to the camp we will be working/living at.

We have a 52″ wide screen t.v. that we will be “hanging” in the new house more than likely due to space constraints.  So more than likely we will use some kind of small stereo cabinet that can sit in a corner to house the stereo receiver and DVD player and all that.

We also have couches, desks , and who know what else we will have to get rid of…Isn’t it exciting?!?  Please don’t forget to pray about this situation for us!!

I know I know, led lighting is all the rage right now.  I’m just not sure about led home lights.  How does it compare with traditional lighting?? Is it too bright, too blue??  I don’t know, it might be something I would like, but I’m just not sure.  Does anyone else use this in their home??  I am thinking if and when we move, I might want to go a little more modern withthe lighting in the living room and such.  If it wold save on buying light bulbs allthe time, cause they last longer, I’m all about that!!  Saving money, that is!!
