Blue Monday!!

happily posted in cooperation with Blue Monday, hosted by: Smiling Sally.

As most of you know, my 10 year old son, Eli, was killed in an auto-accident November 5, 2004.  A year after that,  Buster (my husband) took my sons last school photo over to the Pastor of the Church that has the Christian school my kids go to.  He is a wonderful artist and my husband wanted him to paint a picture of Eli from the photo, and then he was going to give it to me for Christmas.  Months went by and still no painting.  So Buster talked to Pastor A. and he said he had lost the photo  and hadn’t been able to paint the picture.  Buster gave him a photo from his wallet of Eli to use.  It was not the same photo, but it was a nice one.  (It was a little older, though and he really wanted the more recent one, but it couldn’t be helped, he wanted it done ASAP)

So, the Christmas after I was supposed to get it, it was finally done and this was my Christmas present.  I LOVE IT!!!!!  It hangs in my dining room above my daughter’s piano.  It is blue and it’s my favorite blue item!!!!
