To hunt or not to hunt…

To hunt or not to hunt, that is the question…H and i just got done taking a hunter’s safety course ( which we passed with flying colors!!!), and they are all about safety (obviously) and ethics. speaking of which, i wanted to get your opinions on hunting. do you think all animals were put on this planet for us to hunt and eat, just some of them, or none of them. please leave your comments!! i am very interested in your point of view, no matter what it is…..but please be respectful and tasteful in your answers!!! as you can probably guess…since i took and passed a course that will allow me to legally hunt, i am pro hunting…my husband is a big hunter and so are most of his relatives.  i do think if you shoot it, you should eat it!!  let me know what YOU think!!!

this is my big hunter!!

  1. I am nopt very well versed on hunting as most of the stuff near me was fox which is now illegal or birds. But I agree with the idea that if you kill it you should eat it or do something with it and not just kill it for the sake of killing it. If we were to say that hunting shouldnt be allowed then we should all be vegitarians and not wear leather, so yeah. Hannah X

  2. Hiya JSprik ~ Congrats on passing your course. Hunting is flat out awesome!! There’s absolutely nothing like going out and freezing your butt off before sunrise only to have a couple of idiots come into your scoped out buck trail talking at the top of their lungs.

No seriously, I love hunting and I am an avid big game hunter. I hunt with a very good friend and between our two families, we always have enough meat every year and donate an entire animal to charity. It’s totally worth it.

personally, i’m against hunting. i just don’t see the point & besides, i love animals too much – i don’t think i’d EVER be able to shoot one. my brother was showing me a video the other day of moose hunting in alaska and it really bothered me.
i’m also not a huge fans of guns either, they scare the pants off of me. so much power in such a little, insignificant thing. i’m clumsy, i wouldn’t want any accidents happening while i was holding one.

to each their own though! if hunting is your thing, then do what makes you happy i guess. :)
